The washboard from the Clue 4 deaddrop contained a hint about how to solve this cipher. Several letters on the washboard were underlined by hand, spelling out "A Sir Cages"-- referring to Sir Francis Bacon, who created "cagey" ciphers.

[edit] The Solution

The cipher is a modified Baconian Cipher where A=G and B=O. Replacing the letters and removing the punctuation and spaces, the string of A's and B's can be entered in an encoder/decoder like this one: http://www.purplehell.com/riddletools/bacon.htm

In doing so the message is decoded as:

Or,

"I left the road and journey'd far past trace of any human hand. The waning sun across the great ancient ocean of stone cast my attitude, dancing tall before me, a second self."

This, like the previous cipher, may prove to hold clues to the treasure.
